SICG works with the senior leadership of an organization to identify the critical competencies needed for the organization's short and long term success. Competency areas may include:

Competencies drive many areas of the business including strategic planning, performance management, career management and leadership development. They can help unify the organization's efforts across business units and communicate senior leadership's priorities to employees.

- Facilitate meetings to enable senior management to identify the future state of the business they envision and identify the competencies required to achieve it.
- Design behavioral competencies that are easy to understand and can be used when assessing performance or in recruiting/hiring activities
- Assist organizations to identify the potential uses for competency modeling, based on the current and future needs of the organization.
- Create goals to develop competencies from the company to the individual level
- Design and facilitate a process to introduce and educate the organization
- Define follow up process to ensure the competencies are enhanced as the needs of the organization change.
